The tour allows visits to important PaleoChristian churches (erected in the first centuries of Christianity) which are testament to the simplicity and severity of that period.
The Tour takes in Santa Prassede and Santa Sabina with its orange groves from where you can admire the wonderful panorama over the city. The visit continues on to the Church of San Bonifacio ad Alessio and ends in the square designed by Piranesi and containing the Palazzo of Cavalieri Di Malta where you can glimpse the dome of St Peter’s through a hole in the main door.
Duration
The tour lasts half a day and is all on foot.
Meeting Point
The tour starts in Piazza Albania, at the beginning of Viale Aventino, and ends at the Circo Massimo.
